PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
Dear Families
"Dreaming with Eyes Open'' is the theme of this year's Book Week. Fostering a love of reading is one of the greatest treasures we can give children and one they will have for the rest of their lives. Our Book Parade will take place this Friday, Aug 26th at 10am. Children can come dressed as their favourite book character. All families are welcome to join us. ( in costume too!!!!! If you would like to:))
It's Back! We are very excited to once again celebrate Fathers’ Day breakfast on the 2nd September beginning at 7:15am. All dads, grandfathers, stepdads and special friends are invited to come along to school for breaky. We hope you can join us. Please complete the google form located on the blue "Father's Day Breakfast Response button" prior to Thursday 1st September for catering purposes.
We also have our fathers Day stall taking place on Wednesday 31st August, with many exciting treasures for our students to purchase. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Karen Vodusek for all her work in coordinating both the Mothers and Fathers day stall for many many years.
Going to school each day is the single most important part of your child’s education. Students learn new things at school every day - missing school puts them behind. Please ensure your child is at school prior to 8:45am. If your child is absent from school for any reason, it is vital that you notify the school prior to 9am, along with the reason for the absence. Attendances and absences are recorded by the Department of Education, so it is very important that these records are maintained correctly. Please notify the school through the Absence Notification on PAM. SMS messages will be sent to parents to advise of any unexplained absences. Should you receive one of these please contact the school as soon as possible.
Our school uniform reinforces our children's pride in their appearance and instils recognition of themselves as an integral member of our school community. Being part of Sacred Heart means wearing our school uniform correctly.
A few reminders about our expectations about our school uniform:
-
Black shoes and white socks are to be worn
-
No jewellery should be worn to school, (small plain studs/sleepers for ears and watches are permitted).
Tracksuit pants worn on sports day need to be Navy Blue
Take Care,
Arn
